I can see clearly now…

I got these keen vintage ophthalmologist lenses at a yard sale last weekend. Two weekends ago? I’ve only been on vacation for a week and the weeks are already starting to bleed into each other.

They’re the lenses used in my least favorite part of eye exams: “Is the chart clearer to you now? Or….now? How about now? What about now?” with the click-click-clicking of the lenses being switched — usually too quickly. My eye doctors always seem to be in too big a hurry and I feel compelled to make sure I give the right answer or I might end up with a too strong or too weak prescription! Too much pressure! I always want to ask the doctor to leave me alone for a few minutes with his nifty machine and I’ll have answers for him when he gets back. Although, last time I was at the eye doctor, they didn’t use this machine anymore. It was some digital thingy that could tell with which lens my eye was properly focused. Dude, that’s practically science fiction.

ANYWAY, I digress. People use these for art projects. I got around 130 of them. You guys, my “collection” of craft supplies is out of control. I generally buy things like this thinking I’ll create something with them, but even I’m not that deluded at this point. I think I’m going to have a section of my Vintage Bazaar booth for vintage materials to be used in art projects and see how that goes. I’ve also been contemplating selling on Etsy…I just hate packing and shipping stuff. I’m lazy like that.

I also love the milk glass compote I got that same weekend.
