Weekend Finds, Part Two.

Shall we peruse the rest of my purchases from last weekend?

Left: cool mid-century three-tiered server. Right: non-vintage centerpiece. I don’t know if you can tell this or not, but it’s about three-and-a-half feet long and lays like a branch on your table. It’s not old, but I liked the fact that you could do a variety of things with the little nests — candles, or something else. Sorry, I’m feeling very non-creative tonight. But I’m sure YOU could come up with something cute to put in the nests!

Globes! The one on the left is very small. The one on the right is an interesting color, I thought.

That owl planter is HUGE. And HEAVY. I think it may have been one of those things that you were supposed to paint when you brought it home with you. Should I paint it, do you think? I had this earmarked either for the booth or for the August Vintage Bazaar (keeping fingers crossed I’ll be lucky enough to get another booth!), but Justin seemed to really like it. (He so rarely expresses anything beyond rudimentary “that’s nice” comments, so I kind of feel like I should keep the things he really likes. His likes are so random, though — I mean, a giant owl planter? Who knew?)  I bought both the owl and the awesome beverage carafe from the nice ladies at the La Grange estate sale. Their mom collected owls. There was another piece to the carafe that they couldn’t find — a little base that sat underneath for a burner to heat the coffee. But I thought it would be really cute for a lemonade dispenser at a party.

The salt and pepper shakers were also from the La Grange estate sale. They’re very big — about five inches tall, I guess. And the boots were an impulse buy from a thrift store — They were too cute to say no to, and when I checked on eBay, I saw that they can go for $50-60. So now I can’t decide whether to keep them or not.

And last but not least…a milk glass candy dish? cake stand? I’m not sure what it is but I know that I love it.

While you are reading this, I am in Fayetteville, hopefully spending some quality time with my lovely family. I will post photos of the booth rehab when I get back.

Liz Pleeeease bring this owl planter to the next Vinatge Bazaar and sell it to me. 🙂

He’s the best owl ever! heh

I loved the first bazaar and I do have to say, everything I bought came from your booth. Can’t wait for the next one.

Lara Jo Hey! Thanks for the compliments on the booth! You’ve made my day. I am TOTALLY excited for the next one and the owl is DEFINITELY earmarked for the Vintage Bazaar. I’m just trying to decide whether to paint it or leave it white. Any opinion?
