Category Archives: Estate Sales Okay: so last weekend was a pretty darn good junking weekend for me. I spent almost he entire day — from about 10:30 until 4:30 — and put probably a little too many miles on the car, but it was fun. For Chi-town folks, here are the sales I went to: St. James Rummage sale: 3857...  Check out the groovy sixties/seventies foam cooler I found a couple of weeks ago: $3! What a fun item for those summer outdoor concerts. Ravinia season is soon upon us!  I can’t stop buying jars. With lids, preferably. More apothecary jars, blue Ball jars, and — look at the little jar with the floral lid and the cut glass perfume jar! Those last two came from that same estate sale I’ve been talking about — remember, I told you I carried out a garbage bag...  At the estate sale where I got the linens, there was a ton of sewing stuff…which, as we all know, I love.
