I try to buzz around my local Habitat for Humanity Restore at least once ever two weeks or so, mainly for the odd hardware item like stain, paint, hooks, or actual wood to use for projects. Every now and then they’ll have a cool piece of furniture but it is generally pretty pricey as thrift stores go, so I’ve never made a furniture purchase there before. UNTIL NOW. (DUN DUN DUN…)
Does this look cool to you? Would you have bought it for $5? Would you have bought THREE for $5 each? I think they are so cool, but that’s because I saw a blog feature where a person had used one in a child’s bedroom as a bedside table in between two twin beds. CUTE. For $5, I decided to take a chance and see if anyone else thought it was cute as well. I’m in the process of spraypainting the legs of one of them, just as an experiment, but I’m inclined to leave them as is. Especially when they have character like this:
So I could sand that out but…do I really want to?
I’m going to take one to the booth today to take the place of the cart that sold this weekend but the other two will be coming to the vintage sale with me…if nothing else, they will sure be cute stacked on top of each other for display.
