Thrifting Dry Spell.

Man. Yard sales have not been good to me lately. Maybe because I wake up around ten and get out around eleven. Yeah, that may be it. I’ve been too beat to go to any thrift stores after school lately but I did manage to drag myself to the Salvation Army last week and picked up a few fun things.

Oh, how I love that two party mug. The little green creamer (sorry that’s so blurry — what the heck was I focusing on?)  I bought to use for flowers the next time I give a bouquet away. The bowl in the top right square is a pretty big vintage Hall mixing bowl. I cannot resist the mixing bowls. That calendar plate is “compliments of your grocer,” and is from 1909! That is one old plate. And last, the little Mexican planter that was made in Japan. Ironic!

janie hightower I love the mug, too! Is it very old? Can’t believe that plate was at a Salvation Army store. The Mexican man planter’s colors are just beautiful.

Elaine I love the calendar plate and the political mug, although I’ve sworn of anything about politics for now…..maybe forever.
