My beautiful friend Leilani from Thriftaholic got dressed up in her very best 1960s finery and met me down at the Marina Towers, where we took a picture of her to submit to the Mad Men Walk-On Photo Contest. She went to a lot of trouble and truly looks like she is posing in 1964, which is much more than I can say for about 99% of the other entries. Won’t you follow this link and vote for her? Lara Jo - Leilani went to so much trouble to research where to take the pic — she figured out that the Towers were built in 1964 and were perfect for the background. Thanks for voting, Shara!

Ord-Red - She just got my vote. It’s a great photo, good work Lara. Somebody should pass this on to the guys at Gapers Block or Chicagoist so that they can get the home crowd rallying around the cause!
